Hikers, We Need Your Help with Waterfall Flow Reports

Help us report waterfall flow rates by filling out this quick form.

Starved Rock Hikers, a group dedicated to enhancing the hiking experience in the Starved Rock region, is seeking the general public’s help in identifying waterfall flow rates within the park.

We are asking every person who hikes to a waterfall this spring or summer to submit a waterfall flow rate report on our website at www.starvedrockhikers.com/waterfall-report. This takes less than 60 seconds and can be completed for all the major waterfalls within Starved Rock State Park.

In addition to submitting the date, time, waterfall, and flow rating, hikers can upload photos or videos they captured of the waterfall. All data is confidential and anonymous; therefore, no personal information is collected.

We grew up exploring the local natural wonders and want everyone to be able to enjoy all the region has to offer, without harming the sensitive ecosystems and environments.
