The Rock and French Canyon

Length

45 min

Difficulty

About the Hike:

Experience the Rock and a waterfall all in one hike. This is a quick and easy way to see what the park has to offer without going far from the parking lot and visitors center. Expect heavy trail traffic on this hike.

Suggested Route:

Start at the Visitor Center parking lot. From here, follow the concrete path up a few staircases to the top of the rock itself. The boardwalk on top of the rock is a full loop, so you can hike all the way around the rock. Then, continue down the staircases and go East, where you will head into French Canyon.

Difficulty:

Easy/Moderate

3 staircases and natural stone foot-holds to enter the canyon. Sandstone can be slippery when wet.
