About the Hike:

A short, fun hike from the Illinois Canyon parking lot. This hike takes you through a wide, winding canyon with relatively low trail traffic. With the right temperatures you will come across several frozen waterfalls coming across the canyon walls at various places. You will have to cross the Illinois Canyon creek which is a hazard frozen and unfrozen to those who don’t have boots or extra traction support.

Suggested Route:

Park at the Illinois Canyon parking lot (east end of park) off State Route 71. Begin the one-mile roundtrip, flat but wet, hike on the wide path.

Difficulty:

Easy

Easy to and from, flat but icy. A few creek crossings.
